Our order:
Each had a 3-course Sunday lunch, soup starter, mains of one chicken and one lamb with choice of ice-cream or coffee for dessert. Drinks of one small red and one small rose wine.
Cost: £15.70
Speed of service: 10 minutes
Accuracy of order: Excellent – the lamb ordered with no peas came as ordered.
Friendliness of staff: Very friendly and hospitable. More than adequate number of staff. Everyone said hello when we arrived and thank you when we left. Unlike many restaurants with candles on the table – these were lit!
Value for money: Excellent. The main courses that we had were served on large plates and came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and parsnips, cabbage, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. Ample gravy and sauces brought to the table.
Munch Bunch rating: Food excellent 5/5.
Would we visit again: Certainly. We would recommend everyone to book as the restaurant is small and the portions are large!
